The meeting was attended by 49 participants including representatives from AE member organisations, national Alzheimer associations and\u00a0company. There were 14 expert speakers on the packed agenda.\u00a0The two-day Academy was a highly interactive event, with lots of time for questions after each of the five sessions,\u00a0which\u00a0focused on:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The role of biomarkers in the diagnosis of Alzheimer&#8217;s disease\/dementia<\/li>\n<li>EU research collaboration on timely diagnosis &#8211; Opportunities for collaboration with Alzheimer&#8217;s associations<\/li>\n<li>Patient and public involvement in dementia research<\/li>\n<li>Real-world evidence in dementia research<\/li>\n<li>EU programmes and their relevance for Alzheimer&#8217;s associations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We were glad\u00a0to see that\u00a0two epadistas were invited to present the EPAD project.<br \/>\nRichard Milne from the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom, (WP8 co-leader) gave a presentation entitled &#8220;How to communicate biomarker results in an asymptomatic, MCI and dementia population?
