Welcome

Welcome!

We're a few months into the new year and it seems we're already in high gear here at the European Prevention of Alzheimer's Dementia (EPAD) project. Continuous collaborative efforts in our EPAD family have brought us to a point that allows me to proudly announce that we are on the verge of recruiting our first Research Participant into the EPAD Longitudinal Cohort Study (LCS). This European-wide study is dedicated to improve our understanding of the early stages of the disease and identify a window of opportunity for effective intervention. We cannot do this alone, we need your help - together as a team!

This electronic newsletter will be published quarterly and be accessible via the EPAD website (www.ep-ad.org) and inform the Alzheimer community on EPAD’s main achievements, upcoming events as well as allow you to meet the scientists who make it all happen.

In this issue, the project highlights of Q1 2016 are presented. You can also find out more about 2 of the EPAD collaborators, Gloria Oliver Rodriguez and Gerald Luscan.

We hope you enjoy this issue of the EPAD newsletter! Happy Reading!
